The integration between Extensiv (formerly CartRover) and Advanced Shipment Tracking (AST) PRO automates your WooCommerce fulfillment workflow by eliminating the need to manually copy and paste tracking numbers from order notes.

Once configured, tracking information is automatically synced with AST, order statuses are updated, and customers are notified — all without any manual steps.

✅ How the Integration Works

When you connect Extensiv with your WooCommerce store, you can choose how tracking data is passed back to WooCommerce. To fully benefit from AST PRO, you must:

➤ Select the 4th Option: “Extension Shipment Tracking”

This instructs Extensiv to update the WooCommerce order using AST’s dedicated tracking fields.

With this setting enabled:

• Tracking numbers are automatically added to the Shipment Tracking Order Meta
• Order status is automatically set to Shipped (Completed)
• Customers receive a shipping confirmation email that includes the AST tracking widget
• If you’re using TrackShip, tracking data is also synced to your TrackShip dashboard

No manual action is required after setup. The integration works automatically once AST PRO is installed.

🧩 Carrier Name Mapping (Recommended)

Extensiv may send shipping carrier names that do not exactly match AST’s internal list. If the name is not recognized, your customers may receive a shipping confirmation email without a working tracking link.

To resolve this:

🔧 Map Carrier Names in AST

1. Go to WooCommerce > Shipment Tracking > Shipping Carriers
2. Click Edit on the relevant carrier
3. Enter the name used by Extensiv in the Custom API Name field
4. Use the ➕ icon to add multiple name variants if necessary
5. Click Update

This ensures that AST identifies the carrier correctly and includes a valid tracking link in email notifications.

💡 Best Practices

• Always select the “Extension Shipment Tracking” option during Extensiv setup
• Review and map carrier names if tracking links are missing from emails
• Monitor order updates after enabling the integration to confirm expected behavior

🔚 Final Note

⚠️ Important: AST does not generate shipping labels. Extensiv handles the fulfillment and label creation process. AST’s role is to capture the tracking data and automate customer communication.
