This guide walks you through integrating ReadyToShip with Advanced Shipment Tracking (AST) PRO, enabling automatic syncing of tracking information and order status updates in WooCommerce — with no need for manual input or copying tracking numbers.
🔄 How the Integration Works
The ReadyToShip WooCommerce plugin connects your store to your ReadyToShip account, letting you process and ship WooCommerce orders from the ReadyToShip platform.
When you generate a shipping label in ReadyToShip:
- Tracking information and the shipping carrier are sent back to WooCommerce
- The order status is updated to Completed (Shipped)
While ReadyToShip does not use AST’s Shipment Tracking API directly, AST PRO uses a ReadyToShip plugin filter to capture tracking information when it is added to the order.
✅ What AST PRO Does
AST PRO listens for the tracking data passed by the ReadyToShip plugin and:
- Automatically captures the tracking number and carrier
- Saves the data to AST’s Shipment Tracking Order Meta
- (Optional) Updates the order status to Shipped
- Triggers the shipping confirmation email with the AST tracking widget
- Displays tracking details on the My Account > View Order page
No additional configuration is required — AST PRO handles everything behind the scenes once enabled.
⚙️ How to Enable the Integration
- Ensure both AST PRO and the ReadyToShip WooCommerce plugin are installed and active
- Go to WooCommerce > Shipment Tracking > Integrations
- Enable the ReadyToShip integration
- (Optional) Enable Auto-complete shipped orders – AST will automatically change the order status to Shipped once tracking is added

🧩 Carrier Name Mapping (Avoid Missing Tracking Links)
ReadyToShip may send carrier names that don’t match AST’s internal list. If unmatched, the tracking link will not appear in the customer’s email.
🔧 How to Map Carrier Names:
- Go to WooCommerce > Shipment Tracking > Shipping Carriers
- Click Edit on the relevant carrier (e.g., Australia Post, CouriersPlease)
- In the Custom API Name field, enter the exact name used by ReadyToShip (e.g., AUSPOST, Toll IPEC)
- Use the ➕ icon to add multiple variants if needed
- Click Update to save
This ensures AST matches the carrier correctly and generates valid tracking links in customer emails.
💡 Best Practices
- Map all carrier names used by ReadyToShip to ensure consistent tracking display
- Test a sample order after setup to confirm tracking flows correctly
- Monitor integration performance after plugin updates
- Inform your customers about where and how they can track their orders
