This guide walks you through integrating Picqer with Advanced Shipment Tracking (AST) PRO, enabling automated tracking number sync and streamlined order fulfillment for your WooCommerce store.

🔄 How the Integration Works

When you fulfill orders using Picqer, it sends shipment details back to WooCommerce by adding a note to the order. This note typically includes:

  • The tracking number
  • The shipping carrier name
  • A tracking link (if available)

Picqer also updates the order status to Completed after shipping. However, this tracking information remains in the order note only and is not used by WooCommerce’s native tracking or email systems.

AST PRO enhances your Picqer integration by:

  • Automatically detecting and extracting tracking data from WooCommerce order notes
  • Saving the tracking number and carrier to AST’s Shipment Tracking Order Meta
  • (Optional) Updating the order status to Shipped
  • Triggering the shipping confirmation email with AST’s tracking widget
  • Displaying tracking information on the My Account > View Order page

This allows your customers to receive tracking info in a structured, branded email with no manual effort.

⚙️ How to Enable the Integration

  1. Ensure AST PRO is installed and activated
  2. Go to WooCommerce > Shipment Tracking > Integrations
  3. Enable the Picqer integration
  4. (Optional) Enable Auto-complete shipped orders – AST will update the order status to Shipped when tracking is added

🧩 Carrier Name Mapping (Avoid Missing Tracking Links)

Picqer may use carrier names that differ from AST’s predefined list. If these names aren’t mapped, the tracking link may not appear correctly in the customer email.

🔧 How to Map Carrier Names

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Shipment Tracking > Shipping Carriers
  2. Click Edit next to the relevant carrier (e.g., PostNL, DHL, UPS)
  3. In the Custom API Name field, enter the name used by Picqer (e.g., PostNL, MyParcel, DHL Benelux)
  4. Use the ➕ icon to add multiple name variations if needed
  5. Click Update to save

This ensures AST matches the correct carrier and includes a valid tracking link in customer emails and order views.

  • Check order notes regularly to verify Picqer is passing the correct tracking data
  • Keep your carrier name mappings up to date to ensure tracking links display properly
