This guide walks you through integrating EIZ with Advanced Shipment Tracking (AST) PRO, enabling automated tracking number sync and streamlined order updates for your WooCommerce store.

🔄 How the Integration Works

When an order is fulfilled via EIZ, it sends tracking information back to WooCommerce by adding a note to the order. This order note includes:

  • The tracking number
  • The shipping carrier name
  • A tracking link (if available)

EIZ also updates the order status to Completed. However, this tracking data is only stored in the order note and is not applied to WooCommerce’s tracking fields or visible in customer emails without AST PRO.

AST PRO enhances your EIZ integration by:

  • Automatically detecting and extracting tracking info from the WooCommerce order note
  • Saving the tracking number and carrier to AST’s Shipment Tracking Order Meta
  • (Optional) Updating the order status to Shipped
  • Triggering a shipping confirmation email with the AST tracking widget
  • Displaying the tracking info on the My Account > View Order page

This automation eliminates the need to manually copy tracking info and ensures customers are properly informed.

⚙️ How to Enable the Integration

  1. Ensure AST PRO is installed and activated
  2. Go to WooCommerce > Shipment Tracking > Integrations
  3. Enable the EIZ integration
  4. (Optional) Enable Auto-complete shipped orders – AST will automatically change the order status to Shipped when tracking info is added

đź§© Carrier Name Mapping (Avoid Missing Tracking Links)

EIZ may use shipping carrier names that differ from AST’s internal list. If the names aren’t matched, the tracking link may not appear in the customer email.

đź”§ How to Map Carrier Names

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Shipment Tracking > Shipping Carriers
  2. Click Edit next to the relevant carrier (e.g., Australia Post, CouriersPlease)
  3. In the Custom API Name field, enter the exact name used by EIZ (e.g., AusPost, Direct Freight)
  4. Use the âž• icon to add multiple name variations if needed
  5. Click Update to save

This ensures AST can identify the carrier and include a valid tracking link in your customer emails.

⚠️ Important: AST does not generate shipping labels. All label generation and fulfillment are managed by EIZ. AST PRO’s role is to extract tracking info from WooCommerce order notes and automate customer-facing updates and tracking visibility.
