The Customizer allows you to fully personalize the verification email appearance and content. The plugin sends different emails for different verification scenarios.
Email Types Overview
The plugin supports 6 different email types, each sent for a specific verification scenario:
Email Type
When It's Sent
Contains OTP

✓ Yes
Checkout
When customer verifies email at checkout
✓ Yes

Two-Factor Authentication (Authenticator App) does not use email at all — codes are entered in-app from an authenticator, so there is no separate 2FA email template. See Two-Factor Authentication for how that feature works.

As shipped, the Email Heading is missing a word (reads “…the email address {site_title}” instead of “…on {site_title}”), and the Verification Message is copied from the Checkout email — it talks about completing an order, which doesn’t fit an email-change scenario. We recommend rewriting both before this email reaches real customers.

How to Add Footer Content to Emails?
In the customizer, click Email Content.
Select your desired Email Type from the dropdown.
Scroll down to find the Footer Content field.
Enter your footer text (HTML supported).
Click Publish to save changes.
Tip
Each email type has its own footer content field (except Re-engagement Reminder, which doesn’t have one), so you can customize different footer messages for each verification scenario.
Troubleshooting
Emails aren’t arriving — check spam/junk first, then confirm your site’s outgoing mail is actually being delivered; WordPress’s default mail relies on the server’s mail function, which many hosts throttle or block. An SMTP plugin is recommended if you haven’t set one up.
There’s no built-in \”send a test\” button for these six email types (unlike the SMS gateway’s test-send). To confirm how a change looks in a real inbox, trigger the actual flow — for example, register a test account, or use a mail-logging plugin to preview rendering without spamming a real customer.
HTML tags show up as literal text — double-check you’re using the exact supported tags listed above; unsupported or malformed tags may be stripped or escaped.
