By default, ALP PRO displays the Local Pickup availability message on the single product page using WooCommerce hooks, at the position set in Products Catalog Options. On a standard product page you’ll see:
“This product is available for Local Pickup.”

The message appears automatically when the product is eligible for Local Pickup and is not virtual. You can change the text and position in Products Catalog Options.
Why the Message Doesn’t Show in Custom Product Templates
Custom single-product templates built with Elementor / Elementor Pro (and some other page builders and block themes) don’t run the standard WooCommerce hooks such as:
woocommerce_single_product_summary
On those templates, the Local Pickup message will not appear automatically.
Solution: Use the Shortcode
Since version 1.8.4, ALP PRO includes a shortcode that renders the same message anywhere in your product template:
[alp_local_pickup_message]
In Elementor
- Edit your Single Product Template in Elementor.
- Drag and drop the Shortcode Widget where you want the message to appear.
- Enter [alp_local_pickup_message] and save — the message now displays on your Elementor product page.
In Block Themes
On a block theme (Full Site Editing), edit the Single Product template in Appearance → Editor, add a Shortcode block where the message should appear, and paste the same shortcode.
What the Shortcode Displays
The shortcode follows the same logic as the automatic message. It outputs the Product Page Message text from Products Catalog Options (or the default “This product is available for Local Pickup.” if that field is empty), and only when all of these are true:
- The page is a single product page,
- the product is not virtual, and
- the product is eligible for Local Pickup (available at at least one pickup location).
If any condition is not met, the shortcode outputs nothing — there is no fallback text for ineligible products.
