Customer View

The return center form helps customers and businesses talk to each other when something is being returned. It makes sure things are correct, clear, and done quickly, making customers feel good about their experience. It also helps businesses make smart choices using the important information collected during returns.

How to View Return & Exchange Status in My Account

Customers can see all their return and exchange requests from a dedicated section in My Account. This section displays:

  • Order number and request number
  • Current request status
  • Total refund amount
  • Available actions (View, Cancel)

To view more detailed information about a specific return or exchange request, customers can click on the linked request number or the View button located to the right of the request.

How Customers Submit a Return & Exchange on Order View page

Customers can initiate a return and exchange request for items directly from the order view page. We provide an action buttons labeled “Return” & “Exchange” both in the order list and after displaying product details on the order view page, allowing customers to easily submit a return and exchange request for specific items.

Return Portal

Return Request Form

In the return request form, customers have the option to select the mutiple items and qty, specify the return reason, provide a description of the returned items, attach images of the products being returned, and choose their preferred refund payment method. After entering these details, they can submit the form to initiate a return. If the customer choose option of the store credit for refund, we will generate a coupon and send it to the customer once the return request is approved by the admin.

After clicking the ‘Return’ button, you can see the return request form, as illustrated in the attached image below.

After clicking the ‘Request a Return’ button, the return request is a submitted. Upon submitting the return request, we will show the return status for that specific return request.

How Customers Cancel a Return Request on Order View page

Users can now cancel their return requests when the return item’s status is ‘Return Requested’.

After the return request is canceled, we will update the return request status and send a “Return Request Cancelled” email to the admin user.

Exchange Portal

Exchange Request Form

In the exchange request form, customers have the option to select the qty, specify the exchange reason, provide a description of the exchanged items, attach images of the products being exchanged. After entering these details, they can submit the form to initiate a exchange. we will create a new child order and send it to the customer once the exchange request is approved by the admin.

After clicking the ‘Exchange’ button, you can see the exchange request form, as illustrated in the attached image below.

After clicking the ‘Request a Exchange’ button, the exchange request is a submitted. Upon submitting the exchange request, we will show the exchange status for that specific exchange request.

How Customers Cancel a Exchange Request on Order View page

Users can now cancel their exchange requests when the exchange item’s status is ‘Exchange Requested’.

How Guest Users Submit a Return or Exchange Request

For guest users, an alternative method is provided to initiate return and exchange requests. A custom page with a shortcode can be created to display the return and exchange request form.

Steps for Guest Users:

  • Find Order:
    • Navigate to the custom page containing the Return and Exchange Request Form.
    • Enter the Order ID and Email Address to locate the order.
  • Request Return or Exchange:
    • Based on the order’s available items, action buttons for Return and Exchange are displayed.
    • Select the desired action and follow the steps to:
      • Specify the quantity.
      • Provide the reason and description.
      • Attach images.
    • Submit the request.
  • Status Update:
    • After submitting the request, the status of the return or exchange request is displayed for tracking.
