All CBR PRO settings live in one screen in your WordPress admin:
WooCommerce → Country Restrictions → Settings
The Country Restrictions screen has these tabs: Settings (this page), Catalog Restrictions (see Bulk Catalog Restrictions), Payment Restrictions (see Payment Gateway Restrictions), Analytics, and License. The Settings tab itself has three sections: Catalog Visibility, Restriction Settings, and Country Detection Widget.
Catalog Visibility
The Catalog Visibility mode determines how restricted products display to customers from restricted countries. Only one mode can be active:
- Hide Completely — completely hide restricted products from your store.
- Hide Catalog Visibility — hide restricted products from your shop and search results; products remain accessible via direct links.
- Catalog Visible (non purchasable) — display restricted products in your catalog but make them non-purchasable.
- Restrict product only on Place Order (Checkout) — apply the restriction only when the customer clicks the Place Order button on the checkout page.
Hide Completely
Completely hides restricted products and product variations from your store, including their direct links (the product URL returns a 404 page for restricted countries). Options:
- Redirect the 404 page (default: off) — redirect the restricted product’s URL to a page you choose instead of showing the 404 page.
- Choose the page to redirect — the page a restricted product link redirects to.

Hide Catalog Visibility
Hides restricted products and product variations from your shop and search results within your store.
Options (all off by default):
- Hide Product Variations — hide restricted product variations from the product variation options on the product page.
- Hide Restricted Product Price — hide the price of restricted products.
- Make non-purchasable — restricted products cannot be added to the cart, even when opened via direct link.

Catalog Visible (non purchasable)
Restricted products and variations stay visible in the shop but cannot be purchased; the product restriction message is shown instead. Options (all off by default):
- Hide Restricted Product Price — hide the price of restricted products.
- Hide Product Variations — hide restricted product variations from the product variation options on the product page.
- Allow Add To Cart — restricted products can be added to the cart, but the customer cannot proceed to checkout; a restriction message displays on the cart/checkout page.
- Sort products by availability (Available → Restricted) — move restricted products to the end of product listings, so available products show first.

Restrict product only on Place Order (Checkout)
Products stay fully visible and can be added to the cart. The country restriction is applied only when the customer clicks the Place Order button on the checkout page. Use this when you want to restrict by the address the customer actually enters at checkout, rather than by the detected browsing country.
Restriction Settings
- Force geolocation (default: off) — detect the customer’s country using WooCommerce geolocation only, ignoring the saved address of logged-in customers.
- Enable debug toolbar (default: off) — show the detected country in the WordPress admin bar on the storefront while you test your restriction rules. Only logged-in users who see the admin bar (such as administrators) see it; customers never do. It also lets you switch country to preview how restricted products display.
- Restriction by country (default: Restriction by Shipping Country) — choose whether product and catalog restrictions are applied by the customer’s shipping or billing country. Payment gateway rules have their own per-rule Customer Country setting.
- Bypass Restriction for Specific Users — select the user accounts that should be exempt from all country restrictions. These users see all products and can purchase without restriction, regardless of their detected country.

Restriction Messages
- Product restriction message — shown on the product page when a product is non-purchasable. Default: “Sorry, this product is not available in your country.”
- Product restriction message position (default: After add to cart) — where the message appears on the product page: Before title, After title, After price, After short description, After add to cart, After meta, After sharing, or Use shortcode. With Use shortcode, place [cbr_message_position] in a custom product template or with a page builder such as Elementor or UX Builder.
- Cart restriction message — shown on the cart page when a restricted product is removed from the cart after the customer’s country changes. Available variables: {Product_Name} and {Product_name_with_link}. Default: “{Product_Name} has been removed from your cart since it is not available for purchase to your Country.”
- Category restriction message — shown on category and tag pages when the taxonomy is restricted by a bulk catalog rule. You can place it in a custom category template with the [cbr_category_message] shortcode. Default: “Sorry, products from this category are not available to purchase in your country.”
- Product Listing Restriction Message — shown on product listing pages (shop, category, tag, or search results) when all products are restricted for the customer’s country, instead of an empty product list. Default: “Sorry, products are not available in your country.”

Country Detection Widget
The third section of the Settings tab customizes the Country Detection widget — the frontend element that shows the detected country and lets visitors change it. You can customize the label text, popup header, and colors here. For adding the widget or its shortcodes to your store, see How to Use the Country Detection Widget and How to Use the Country Detection Shortcode.
