Getting started with Customer Info takes a couple of minutes. It builds on your existing WooCommerce data, so there is nothing to import — the dashboard is populated the moment the plugin is active.
📥 Installation
- Download the Customer Info plugin ZIP from your zorem.com account (My Account → Downloads), or from your purchase confirmation email.
- In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now.
- Click Activate when the installation finishes.
📍 Opening the dashboard
After activation, a new menu item appears at WooCommerce → Customer Info. Open it to see the full customers list and start opening individual profiles.
⚙️ The settings screen
Every optional feature is configured in one place. On the WooCommerce → Customer Info screen, click the gear (Settings) icon at the top-right of the dashboard header. Settings open with three tabs:
| Tab | What you set there | Documented in |
|---|---|---|
| Integrations | Intercom and Help Scout access tokens | Support Integrations |
| Email Verification | Turn OTP verification on, and design the email + popup | Email Verification |
| AI | Choose a provider, save your API key, test the connection | AI Customer Summary |
🔐 Who can access what
Customer Info does not use a single capability for everything. Each surface checks its own, so a Shop manager can do most things but not impersonate a customer. The raw capability slug is in brackets.
| Feature | Capability required | In practice |
|---|---|---|
| View the dashboard & customers list | manage_woocommerce | Administrator, Shop manager |
| Edit a customer (email, role, addresses) | manage_woocommerce | Administrator, Shop manager |
| AI Customer Summary — enable, save key, generate | manage_woocommerce | Administrator, Shop manager |
| MCP — approve a connection | manage_woocommerce | Administrator, Shop manager |
| Switch to Customer (impersonation) | manage_options | Administrator only — a Shop manager cannot switch |
🧩 Compatibility
Requires WordPress 6.0+, WooCommerce 8.0+ (tested to 11.0.1) and PHP 7.4+ — the full table is on the Customer Info overview. It is declared compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage. Extra data appears automatically when WooCommerce Subscriptions, API Manager, Affiliate for WooCommerce, Intercom or Help Scout are active — none are required for the core dashboard.
🗑️ Deactivating and removing the plugin
Deactivating Customer Info stops the dashboard and unschedules its daily MCP cleanup job. Your customers, orders and subscriptions are never touched — the plugin only ever reads them.
cf_settings), your saved integration and AI keys, the MCP OAuth tables (registered clients and issued tokens), any cached AI summaries, and email-verification flags remain in your database after uninstall. If you need them gone — for example for a data-removal request — remove them manually. See Data, Privacy & Retention for exactly what is stored, where, and for how long.Next: The Customers List.
