Most problems are explained in the Activity Log: filter Outcome → Not allowed and read the reason under each refused row. Below are the most common cases.
“AI Agent OS Is Locked”
The plugin has no active license, so only the License tab shows and agents cannot connect. The notice on the License tab says why:
- Not connected yet — click Connect & Activate License and sign in on zorem.com.
- zorem.com has not confirmed your subscription yet — the check runs in the background and usually takes a few minutes. If it stays locked, make sure WP-Cron runs on your site and that your server can reach zorem.com.
- Your subscription is not active — renew it under My Account → Subscriptions on zorem.com. The plugin turns back on at the next check.
- This license key is already active on another site — deactivate it on the other site’s License tab first, or manage your activations on zorem.com.
The Plugin Was Deactivated After Updating
In 1.0.1 the plugin’s folder and main file became ai-agent-os-pro/ai-agent-os-pro.php. Go to Plugins and activate AI Agent OS PRO again. Agents, MCP addresses, settings and the license are kept.
“AI Agent OS PRO Is Waiting for AI Agent OS to Stop Loading”
The free AI Agent OS is still active. Deactivate it on the Plugins screen; your agent, token, permissions and settings are kept and appear in PRO.
Claude or ChatGPT Cannot Sign In
- Check the Connection section for a yellow notice. Signing in needs HTTPS and permalinks other than Plain (Settings → Permalinks). Until then, connect with the agent’s token.
- Check that Enable the MCP endpoint is on in AI Agent OS → Settings.
- Log in as an administrator when the approval screen opens.
- Behind a proxy or load balancer? If token requests fail with Use https for this endpoint., make sure WordPress knows the request arrived over HTTPS.
Codex Cannot Connect
Codex connects with the agent’s token, not by signing in. Issue a token in the agent’s Token card, put it in the environment variable the Connection section names, and run the Codex command shown there.
The App Connected but Has No Tools
The agent has no permissions yet. Open it, grant the tools you want on its Permissions section, click Save permissions, then start a new chat so the app loads the new list.
The App Keeps Disconnecting
- After about three months — signed-in connections must be approved again every 90 days. Click Connect in the app and approve.
- After a change on the agent — revoking, an expiry date or New address ends every sign-in. Add the current address and approve again.
- Every agent stopped at once — check that your license is still active (AI Agent OS → License). If it is, your site’s security salts may have changed: see the red banner on the Status tab, issue new tokens and reconnect.
“This Agent Has Not Been Granted This Ability”
The AI tried a tool the agent does not hold. Grant it on the agent’s Permissions section if you want the agent to use it. If the reason says the ability requires write access, change the grant from Read to Write.
The Agent Cannot Delete, Cancel or Refund
Deleting, cancelling and refunding are destructive. Turn on Allow destructive abilities in the agent’s Connection section → Access, and give the agent Write on the tool.
The Agent Does Not Know My Policy
- Is the page chosen and published? Check Website Brain → Overview: the policy shows READ, or the page is ticked under Add another page.
- Can the agent search? Give it Read on Search knowledge and Get knowledge entry.
A Tool Is Missing from the Permissions List
Check AI Agent OS → Status for a Needs attention card. A tool that AI Agent OS PRO cannot check is hidden from agents for safety, and the card explains why. Also make sure the plugin that provides the tool is active.
Still Stuck?
Open AI Agent OS → Status, click Copy diagnostics, and include it in your support request together with the reason shown in the Activity Log.
