The AI Insights Summary sits at the top of the Sales by Country report and describes the selected period in plain language — the totals, which countries are driving them, and anything that stands out. It is written from the same figures shown in the chart and table below it.
Analytics → Sales by Country — the panel appears above the chart once AI is enabled and a key is saved.
What it covers
- Total and net sales, order count and average order value for the period.
- The countries contributing most of the revenue.
- How the period compares with the previous one of the same length.
- Anything worth a second look — for example a country with plenty of orders but an unusually low average order value.
The summary always reflects the filters you have applied. Change the date range, switch between billing and shipping country, or select a currency, and a summary for that exact view is produced.
Caching and cost
Summaries are cached for 24 hours per combination of date range, country type and currency. Revisiting the same view reuses the stored summary instead of calling your provider again, so browsing the report repeatedly does not repeatedly bill you.
Use the Refresh control on the panel to force a new summary before the cache expires — for example after importing historical orders, or after a rebuild in WooCommerce Analytics.
If the summary does not appear
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No panel at all | AI features are switched off, or no API key is saved. | Enable AI and save a key under WooCommerce → Settings → Sales by Country. |
| There are no sales in this period to summarise | The selected date range contains no orders with country data. | Widen the date range, or import historical data so past orders carry country information. |
| An error from the provider | The key was rejected, or the account is out of credit or quota. | Use Test connection on the settings screen to confirm the key still works. |
