AI Features

Sales By Country includes an optional set of AI features that turn the country report into plain-language insight: a written summary of the selected period, ranked recommendations, a question box you can type into, and automatic alerts when a country moves away from its usual sales trend.

The AI features are off by default and run on your own API key. You pick one provider — Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Gemini (Google) — and that provider bills you directly. Country anomaly alerts are the exception: they run entirely on your own server and need no key at all.

Where it appears

All of these appear on the report itself, at Analytics → Sales by Country, stacked above the existing chart and country table. Each panel follows the date range, country type (billing or shipping) and currency you have selected, so the insight always matches the numbers on screen.

Panels hide themselves when they have nothing to say — for example, the anomaly panel does not appear when no country is deviating from its trend, and the Ask box only appears once a key is saved.

In this section

  • Setting Up AI — choose a provider, save your key, pick a model, and test the connection.
  • AI Insights Summary — the written overview above the report.
  • Recommendations — ranked opportunities and what each signal means.
  • Ask a Question — natural-language questions about your report.
  • Country Anomaly Alerts — trend deviation detection, no key required.
  • AI Data & Privacy — exactly what is sent to your provider, and what never is.
No customer data is ever sent to an AI provider. Only aggregate country totals for the selected date range leave your site — never customer names, email addresses, order IDs or addresses. See AI Data & Privacy for the full detail.
