Docs Analytics for WooCommerce Subscriptions Products and Variations Reports

Products and Variations Reports

The Products and Variations tabs answer which of your subscription products is actually carrying the recurring revenue. They use the same metrics as the Over Time report, but grouped by product or variation instead of by date.

Metrics

MetricWhat it means
Total RevenueAll subscription-related orders for that product, including signups, renewals, switches and resubscriptions.
Signup RevenueRevenue from new subscription parent orders for that product.
New Subscription OrdersHow many subscriptions to that product were created in the period.
Renewal Revenue / Renewal OrdersRevenue and count from renewal payments on that product.
Switch Revenue / Switch OrdersRevenue and count from upgrades and downgrades involving that product.
Total Subscription OrdersAll subscription-related orders for that product in the period.

Filtering to a single product

Above the chart there is a product filter with two modes:

  • All Products — every subscription product, one row each.
  • Single Product — start typing a product name and pick it from the autocomplete to narrow the whole report, including the chart and summary cards, to that product.

The Variations tab works the same way but with a variation picker, so you can compare, for example, the monthly and annual plan of the same product side by side.

If a product is sold both as a subscription and as a one-off purchase, only the subscription-related orders are counted here. One-off sales stay in the standard WooCommerce Products report.
