The Advanced Local Pickup plugin extends the WooCommerce Local Pickup shipping method to give you a complete store pickup workflow — from checkout through to customer collection.
With the free plugin you can set up one pickup location, configure business hours and special instructions, add custom order statuses (Ready for Pickup and Picked Up), and send automated email notifications to customers at each stage of the pickup process.
How does it work?
Local Pickup is a built-in WooCommerce shipping method that lets customers choose to collect their online order from your store or another location instead of having it shipped.
Advanced Local Pickup builds on top of that method to add a fulfilment workflow:
- Customer selects Local Pickup at checkout and places the order.
- You prepare the order and change its status to Ready for Pickup — this triggers the Ready for Pickup email to notify the customer.
- The pickup instructions for your location appear on the order confirmation page and in the email.
- When the customer collects the order, you change the status to Picked Up — confirming fulfilment and optionally sending a confirmation email.
