How to Set Up Custom Order Statuses

Zorem Local Pickup adds two custom order statuses to WooCommerce. These replace vague default statuses like “Processing” or “Completed” with clear, pickup-specific stages.

Ready for Pickup

Use this status when you have prepared the order and it is waiting at the counter for the customer. Changing an order to this status triggers the Ready for Pickup email notification.

Picked Up

Use this status once the customer has collected the order. It is primarily for your internal records. You can optionally enable an automated confirmation email for this status.

⚠ NOTE  If you ever deactivate the plugin, WooCommerce will prompt you to reassign any orders that still have the custom statuses to a standard WooCommerce status. This ensures your order data is not lost.
