How It Works

The plugin adds an email verification step before a new customer account is created. Only customers who successfully verify their email address can complete registration and access your store.

Email Verification Flow – Registration

When a customer tries to register on your store, the following flow is triggered:

Customer Fills in Registration Form

The customer enters their name, email address, and password on the registration page and submits the form. The account isnot yet createdat this point.

Verification Email Sent & Popup Displayed

A verification email containing a numeric OTP code is automatically sent to the email address provided. At the same time, a verification popup is displayed on screen prompting the customer to enter their code.

Customer Enters the Verification Code

The customer enters the OTP code from their email into the verification popup. If the email was not received, they can request a resend directly from the popup.

Account Created & Customer Logged In

Once the correct code is entered, the email is verified, the customer account is created, and the customer is automatically logged in and redirected to the account dashboard (or any page you choose). The account is flagged as Verified Email

Please note: Email verification before account creation does not apply to customers who register an account during checkout or when registering via social login plugins.

Verification Method

Customers verify their email by entering the numeric OTP code from the verification email directly into the popup on screen. Without entering the correct code, the account will not be created.
